We recently found out that Steve got into the Lowe's Store manager training program. After 9 1/2 years with Lowe's he has worked his way from the very bottom up to Store manager ( well not quite yet but very close) Im so proud of all his hard work and so excited for him! I am so happy he has a job that he enjoys and is awesome at. These programs are not the easiest to get into either. The last one was over a year ago and they only put one person through at a time. The regional manager will send out an email saying there will be one spot for SMT (store manager training) and so from their 50+ applicants they take a handful and have them do a computer test/interview and from that handful 3-4 will get a phone interview and from them they choose their final person to be put through the program. He will train for a couple weeks in North Carolina and then 6 weeks in a store around here and then back to NC for his final week. He then has 18 months to get a Store of his own or his training will expire and he would have to reapply and try to get in again (which is totally unlikely unless we are super picky about where we move..... ).
