Christmas is almost here!!!

We decided to act out the nativity this year in our sad costumes.... lol! The kids loved it and I think Steve had the most fun dressing up!! Steve was a shepard, Steven was Joseph, Sydney was Mary, and Tori was an angel. I narrated.
Stevens sneaky self

Tori calls this vest her "HO HO HO" I think she thinks she is Santa with it on.
We have been busy baking, shopping, and wrapping gifts and cant wait for our 1st Christmas with just us. We are going to do a lot of eating! We are also very excited to head up to WA to see our family the day after Christmas. Cant wait to see everyone...We are going to miss you Leif and Rachel!

Tori's TWO

For Tori's Birthday we just layed low since it was like 10 degrees out and didnt want to go out more than we had to. Sydney still had school, but we tried to make it a fun day for Tori. we got up and gave her our present (the play kitchen) and made blueberry pancakes, made christmas bread and a puppy dog cake (that totally didnt turn out...it tasted good, but thats about it!) Then we did happy meals for dinner, had cake and presents! She was so tried by the end of the day.

Off to see Annie- the musical

Steve got Sydney and I tickets to go see the Annie-musical at the Nampa Civic Center. Besides being a little tired, it was great! Sydney loved it! She wasnt sure what to expect because this was her first play so she thought it was going to be EXACTLY like the movie and kept pointing everything out that was different. Thanks Steve for dealing with Tori while we were gone!!! (She goes a little crazy if I dont put her to sleep!)

Tori's Potty training!

I never really knew when I was going to start potty training her, but last Monday she woke up dry for the first time and so I quickly put her on the potty and she went. We had been taking her in the morning and at night, but only once in a while. So that first week she did awesome and had maybe 3 -4 accidents for the whole week and even went number 2 like 4 times. I am so in shock about her progress, that I cant help but post it all over!!!! Im soooo proud of her. Now I know what it means when they are actually ready and not ready. Of course there has been a day or two when she hasnt wanted to go and so Ive had to brib her, but she also has been surprising me with holding it when we go to the store or church. Anyways I am sooo excited because potty training is not my specialty and I HATE IT!

Christmas Tree!

We usually always go to a tree farm and cut down our tree, but since there are none around here we had to go to a Lot. We got this nice noble for $30 which is less than we've paid in WA, so it turned out alright. Some of them at the lot were priced at $79...Crazy! So last night we all decorated the tree..even Tori. It was fun! the kids did a great job..of course we had to rearrange a few ornaments afterwards..lol!

Steve and his cheese balls!

We went to Sam's Club yesterday and Steve had to get the biggest jar of cheese balls I've ever seen. Do you know it actually says REAL CHEESE on the label....yeah right!

Thanksgiving- 09

Steve's dad came down for the Holiday and we had a great time with him here. Thanks Steve for coming to visit!

Sugar & Spice and Everything Nice!

Yesterday we found out that will be having our 3rd daughter. We are all really excited....well Steven is getting there. He still really wanted a little brother, but is getting used to the idea that he is just meant to have little sisters to protect. They made a neat little dvd for us, where the baby was putting her thumb up (it was really cute!), but I couldnt get it up on here.

Spirit week

Wild hair day

Sports day

Sydney's school had a couple of days for Spirit week and she was really excited to participate. So the first day was sports day and she was a cheerleader (her costume from when she was 2. She loves it and keeps trying to squeeze into it). The next day was wild hair day and then black and orange day...which I didnt get a picture of.

Halloween '09

For Halloween Grandma and Papa Kanooth were here. It was nice having some family around for the kids on Halloween. We did the church trunk or treat earlier in the day and then took the kids out to about 4 neighborhoods that night...and Tori went to all but one. She tried to keep up with her brother and sister, but of course she couldnt. We all took turns carrying her and catching her up to the others. It was a really fun night!

Carmel apples and pumpkin carving!

Of course my camera was dead when we went to the pumpkin patch, but I did get it charged in time to carve! Steve helped....well Steve carved the kids pumpkins for them. Sydney wanted a cat and Steven wanted a happy face pumpkin.

They did a great job helping me unwrap the carmel's, and only snuck a few. Every year gets better and better as the kids get older and we all have a great time together with our fun family tradition!

Time for hot chocolate!

I made a big thing of homemade hot chocolate that should last us through the cold winter..It's Freezing here!

My favorite part of the house! We plan on having the baby at home in the bath....Ive always wanted to have a water birth...............jk!

Our kids never take naps as you know, but while we were setting up the new house they couldnt resist. Sydney went in her room and said she was going to take a nap ( 2 days in a row...weird for her to do that, but it was nice :) . Tori fell asleep on my bed, and Steven fell asleep eating his snack. Im sure getting over the flu helped.
