WA Bound!

So we left for Wa at around 1 am Sunday morning and got to mom and dads around 7am. The drive was interesting. Reese slept the best. She slept for a straight 5 hours! Tori on the other hand.......well didnt sleep. I think she took a short nap of about 45 mins. and then later threw up right before we got on the bridge of the gods. And the older kids were up on and off.

When we finally got there we went to our old ward in Battle Ground and then stopped by and saw Papa Brooks.

Birthdays, Birthdays and more Birthdays!!

On July 28th was Steven birthday. He turned 5 years old! I cant believe how fast the time has gone! Since we were going to be in WA on his actually Bday we decided to have a family party a couple days before we left. So we started the day by going to the water park. While Steve took Sydney and Steven, I stayed home with the little girls and got things ready for his party. Tori helped me blow up balloon and put up streamers.

This year Steven wanted a Transformers cake.

Steve said Steven was too scared to go on any of the slides so they mainly hung out in the wave pool for the first hour and then later on he finally warmed up and would go down the kiddy slides with Sydney. Of course when it was time to go he didnt want to leave.

Reesey!

Tori had to be right next to Reese. I love how you can see her chubby cheeks!

My little baby girl is growing too fast. She is enjoying sucking on her hands, so you know what that means....she will have a new tooth in a couple months. I am soaking in all the little baby that she is now because I know she is my last. I'm sad, but know I cant keep having children forever. Since she IS my last I sleep with her everynight, I dont even know why I set up the cradle. She has never slept in it once. I usually would keep them in it for the first 6 months, but what the heck Im going to sleep with her as much as I can now while I still have a little baby. There is nothing more precious than sleeping next to a sweet little baby. I love the way they nestle in and fall right to sleep. Tori has decided to sleep in her big bed in her own room now. I would have kept her in my room for another 2 years (haahaha), but I cant stop her if she is ready. LOL!

The 4th of July 2010

I made the kids some yogurt parfaits

getting ready for church

frosting cookies

This was our first 4th of July in Idaho and it was great! The fireworks werent as big but the weather was awesome! It was about 80 degrees and not a cloud in the sky. We went to church while Steve was at work and then later that evening went over to our neighbors (friends from church) house for a BBQ. They had a lot of people over from church and the kids had a great time playing with their friends. It reminded me of when we were little going to the Knutsons house and everyone being there and then we would all sit on the lawn and watch fireworks, which is what we did here.

More Summer Fun!

Settlers Park

Steve took the kids out "camping" in the backyard one night, but they came in at 2am because it got REALLY windy. It has been really windy here...like blowing Steve's BBQ over all the time windy.... lol!

We finally got Steve his little pool....he was so excited!!!

Love our shade umbrella!!!!

Quick Trip to WA!

We were hoping to make it to WA in time to see Grandma Brooks before she passed, but we didn’t make it. We will miss her a lot, but know we will see her again someday and now she doesnt have to be suffering from that crappy cancer stuff.
We got to spend some time with Grandpa Brooks and make a few visits with other family and friends.

Tori putting her dukes up in Mom and Dad's 60's chair.....man that thing is OLD!!!!

I was SO happy to finally get to meet Rylee and Tyler, Lindsey's little kiddos. They are so CUTE! I look a little freakish, but I had to get a pick of me and Linds up there. I dont think we've seen eachother for like a year and a half.

Of course we had to make a special surprise stop for Sydney to see Ryen! She was sooo excited to see him. She told us later that she asked him if he wanted to marry her and he said yeah but just dont talk about it. LOL! He is a total boy and doesnt really like all that mushy stuff, but if you know Sydney thats all she talks about; boys, love, getting married and having children. She is fascinated by all that, but what else does she really know?

Grandma Suzie and Reese

Playing at Grandma's house

This was Reese's first trip to WA.

We had Mom and Dads room all to ourselves. They were out of town visiting Leif, Rachel and the twins. It was very nice and I got to hang out with Lairen after the kids were in bed.

We were able to see Grandma Martin (poor Grandma not the best picture, but atleast she was comfortable.......). We brought her an Idaho Spud and she loved it. I am not a fan, but Im glad she liked it.

The kids on Grandpa Brooks' Harley.

Aunt Katie and Aunt Andrea got to meet Reese.

All the cousins except Westin, Jade, Micah, and Savannah.
My kids were SOOO EXCITED to play with their cousins. They have missed them! Thanks for all the fun!!

On our way out of town we stopped by and saw Aaron and Katie at their relative's cabin. So FUN!

Father's Day

For Father's Day Steve actually had the day off....partly because we were going to be leaving for WA after church that day. So we celebrated Father's Day for 3 days. Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Each day the kids would leave something special for Steve (they did this for me for Mother's Day so we decided to make it a tradition..lol) On Sunday morning we were all excited to give Steve the Father's Day book we made for him from Shutterfly. He LOVED IT and the kids had so much fun making it too. They each picked out a few pictures of them and Dad and then wrote why he is the best dad in the world.
